Terms and conditions

Terms of use of the website and general terms of Terra Levis funeral services.

1. General provisions

These Terms and Conditions set out the rules for using the website available at terralevis.pl and the general conditions for the provision of funeral services by Mazowieckie Przedsiębiorstwo Usług Pogrzebowych „Terra Levis” Alicja Kępczyk, ul. Opaczewska 15 lok. U3, 02-368 Warsaw, NIP (tax ID) 522-167-19-36, REGON 140153732 (hereinafter: the “Service Provider” or “Terra Levis”).

Contact: tel. 660 950 600 (24/7), e-mail alicja.kepczyk@terralevis.pl.

2. Definitions

  • Website - the Terra Levis website together with its subpages;
  • Service provider - the entity indicated in point 1;
  • Client / Principal - a person using the Website or ordering a service;
  • Service - a funeral or related service provided by the Service Provider.

3. Scope of services

The Service Provider offers comprehensive funeral services, including: arranging Catholic, secular, urn and children's funerals, cremation, domestic and international transport of the deceased, transport for funeral guests, sale of coffins, urns and flowers, provision of a farewell hall, and assistance with formalities and with obtaining the ZUS funeral allowance.

3a. Services provided by electronic means

  1. Through the Website the Service Provider provides the following free services by electronic means:
    • making the Website content available — browsing the pages, the price list, the guide and the gallery;
    • the contact form — allowing a request for contact or for a quote to be sent;
    • the quote-scope form on the price list page — allowing a selected scope of services to be sent.
  2. The contract for making content available is concluded when a page of the Website is displayed and terminated when it is closed or the Website is left. The contract for the form service is concluded when the form is submitted and terminated when the enquiry is answered or the Client withdraws earlier. Use of the services is voluntary and free of charge, and the Client may stop using them at any time by closing the page and not submitting the form.
  3. The Client is obliged to use the Website in accordance with the law and good practice. The Client is prohibited from supplying unlawful content, in particular content infringing personal rights, copyright or the rights of third parties, and personal data of third parties without a legal basis. The Service Provider may refuse to handle an enquiry containing such content.
  4. Using services provided by electronic means involves the ordinary risks present on the Internet, in particular malicious software, attempts to intercept data transmitted over the network, and messages impersonating the Service Provider. We recommend using an up-to-date browser and security software and checking that the connection to the site is encrypted (an address beginning with "https://"). The Service Provider never asks for a password or payment card details in messages.
  5. Complaints concerning services provided by electronic means, including the operation of the form, may be submitted in the manner described in point 7 of the Terms.

4. Enquiries and conclusion of the contract

We take calls 24/7 by phone (660 950 600, 22 499 46 64) and via the form on the Website. The form and the calculator serve for contact and an approximate estimate and do not constitute the conclusion of a contract. The service agreement is concluded individually, after the details and scope have been agreed with the Client.

5. Prices, quotations and payments

The prices presented on the Website and in the calculator are approximate. We prepare a binding quotation individually, depending on the scope of services chosen and on external fees (including cemetery fees). We document the services with with a VAT invoice. In many cases the service can be settled within assignment of the ZUS funeral allowance, so the client does not cover the costs from their own funds before the benefit is paid.

6. Performance of the service

We perform the service with due diligence, respecting the dignity of the deceased and the feelings of the family, in accordance with the applicable regulations and the arrangements made with the Client. Timing depends on the completeness of the documents, the availability of a plot at the cemetery, and the arrangements with the parish or the master of ceremonies.

7. Complaints

Complaints may be submitted by phone, in writing to the registered office address, or by e-mail to alicja.kepczyk@terralevis.pl. A complaint should include contact details and a description of the objections. We consider it without delay, no later than 14 days from receipt, and inform the Customer of the outcome.

8. Withdrawal from the contract

Given the nature of funeral services (services strictly tied to a specific date and performed to individual order), the right to withdraw from a distance contract may be excluded or limited under Art. 38 of the Consumer Rights Act. Detailed terms are agreed individually when the contract is concluded.

9. Copyright and image rights

The content of the Website (texts, layout, graphics, company marks) is protected by law and is the property of the Service Provider or is used on the basis of appropriate rights. Copying and distribution without consent is not permitted.

Image: The Service Provider does not publish images of individuals (including ceremony participants) without a legal basis. Any use of photographs from completed services for reference purposes takes place solely with the prior, voluntary consent of the persons whose image was recorded, in accordance with Article 81 of the Act on Copyright and Related Rights. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

10. Technical requirements and external links

To use the Website you need a device with internet access and an up-to-date browser with JavaScript enabled. The Website may contain embedded external elements (e.g. Google Maps), which operate under the terms set out in the terms of service and privacy policies of their providers. The rules for using cookies are described in the Privacy policy.

11. Out-of-court dispute resolution

A consumer may use out-of-court means of handling complaints and pursuing claims. In particular, a consumer may:

  • ask for free assistance from the district (municipal) consumer ombudsman competent for their place of residence;
  • apply for out-of-court consumer dispute resolution proceedings to the competent Voivodeship Inspector of the Trade Inspection — for Warsaw this is the Mazovian Voivodeship Inspector of the Trade Inspection;
  • turn to a social organisation whose statutory tasks include consumer protection.

The list of entities authorised to conduct out-of-court consumer dispute resolution proceedings is maintained by the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection and published at uokik.gov.pl. Using these means is voluntary and requires the agreement of both parties.

12. Final provisions

In matters not covered here, Polish law applies, in particular the Civil Code and the Consumer Rights Act. The service provider may amend the Terms for important reasons; the current version is published on the website. Last updated: 15 September 2026
